The partnership not only streamlines the admissions process by providing provisional acceptance to all qualified CSC applicants, but also provides a comprehensive support system to ensure a smooth transition and success in higher education.
This agreement guarantees acceptance for Chadron State College graduates, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Students must meet with a CSC faculty advisor each semester of the undergraduate program;
- Students must have completed 60 credit hours of course work prior to applying, including:
- Biology (BIOL 101 & 102 + labs)
- General Chemistry (CHEM 131 & 132 + labs)
- Organic Chemistry (CHEM 333 & 334 + labs)
- Physics (PHYS 151 & 152 + Labs)
- English composition, and one writing intensive course
- Biochemistry (CHEM 335 + lab)
- Students must earn a grade of “B” or higher in all program required courses;
- Students must maintain a 3.4 Science GPA following AACOMAS guidelines;
- Students must maintain a 3.4 overall GPA;
- Students will apply to RVU by submitting an AACOMAS application prior to January 1 of the year they plan to matriculate;
- Students in good standing are NOT required to submit MCAT scores.

This groundbreaking collaboration offers students a unique opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming a healthcare professional with a direct pathway to a coveted medical school interview.
Through this prestigious program, students at Chadron State College are given the assurance of an interview at the esteemed Idaho College of Medicine upon meeting the doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) requirements. This eliminates the uncertainty and stress of the medical school application process, providing a clear roadmap to a successful career in medicine.
To participate in this program, students must:
- Meet all general admissions requirements of ICOM at the time of application, including:
- A Minimum MCAT score in the 50th percentile or above, with subsections at a minimum of 35th percentile;
- Maintain a science GPA of 3.2;
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.2;
- Meet all required courses at the ICOM website;
- Have completed the following courses:
- Biological Sciences: One year with laboratory (8 semester credit hours/12 quarter credit hours)
- Physics: One year (6 to 8 semester credit hours/9 to 12 quarter credit hours)
- Inorganic Chemistry or General Chemistry: One year with laboratory (8 semester credit hours/12 quarter credit hours)
- Organic Chemistry: One year with laboratory (8 semester credit hours/12 quarter credit hours)
- English: One year (6 semester credit hours/9 quarter credit hours)
- Six (6) additional semester credit hours in science are highly recommended. ICOM recommends courses in the 300/400 level or beyond in subjects that will enhance performance in medical school such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology and Immunology.
